If you follow us you probably know that, for the last 10 years, Distinction has actively supported a fabulous charity called Education for the Children Foundation (EFTC).

Sadly, COVID-19 has seriously affected EFTC and the charity stands to lose £100,000 due to cancelled fundraising events this year already.

EFTC ensures a quality education for almost 500 school students and over 200 further education students in Guatemala to provide opportunities for their futures. Through education and empowerment, EFTC works with Guatemalan students, families, and communities to support those in need and break the cycle of poverty.

Part of the work that EFTC does in Guatemala is to provide essential medicine and medical help to children who cannot afford the cost of the treatment. Due to COVID-19, this aid is at risk this year and EFTC needs to raise £9,181 to fulfil its commitment.

We hope you can help us out by playing in EFTC’s first ever Global Golf Day on Thursday 9 July 2020.

We’re entering two teams - of mostly non-golfers - and it would be amazing to see you enter your own team to compete too! We could all do with a day in the sunshine, and what better way to do that whilst raising money to help save the lives of children at the same time?

With any luck, we’ll see you at the virtual prize giving ceremony hosted by retired footballer Dean Saunders on Friday 10 July!
